Egypt Reviews Bids for New Solar Energy Project


The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) will review six bids for the 200 megawatts (MW) solar energy project in Kom Ombo, Spanish solar developer, Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), which is part of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy, has submitted an offer, at US$0.02791 per kWh, PV Magazine reports.

ACWA Power, is reportedly bidding US$0.02799 per kWh.

Norway’s Scatec Solar also proposed an offer at US$0.03045 per kWh.
